How can you not like pears? They're like eating a beach! All sandy, but good tasting, especially when they're warm and have a little bit of spice in them.

I adore poached pears in dark chocolate sauce with a raspberry coulis. I love them fresh off the tree on the sunny side of some slope of a gnarled old orchard in the middle of September. I hate pear paste out of a jar with a very fat baby glaring at me from the label.

Thirty-four is correct. 2004-1970=34. I'm sure of it. I didn't major in math, though. Hah. There is a calculator on my computer. Yes, I'm thirty-four, in Earth years at least.
